DCC-MRI, a self-contained O2 monitoring system developed for MRI room applications.

It has two 4-20mA outputs that can be used to control devices such as VFDs, a blocked flow alarm indicating a dirty filter or clogged tubing and a side mounted audible buzzer. It also has one dry relay contact output designed to activate external devices such as ventilation fans, remote strobe light/horn combo or remote audible alarms.

The strong magnetic field inside MRI rooms can interfere with electronic equipment inside the room and cause it to malfunction, therefore best and most reliable is to mount this system on the wall outside of the MRI room with flexible tubing running from the inlet port fitting to the area where a leak is most likely to occur inside the MRI room. The exhausted sample air can be released in the same area where the DCC-MRI is installed. Or it can be directed somewhere else, in which case, additional tubing can be connected to the outlet port fitting and exhausted as required.

This MRI room oxygen monitoring system accept ¼” sample tubing, with the limit of 15 meters in lengths. The alarm set point is preset to OSHA standard but can be re-adjust to any desire level. This system is accurate enough to measure to government established exposure levels for O2 deficiency for health and safety.
