ฝั่งขาเข้าDryer --- เพื่อปรับอัตราการป้อน หรืออุณหภูมิเครื่องอบ ประโยชน์ที่ได้รับคือ เพิ่มความปลอดภัยการดำเนินงาน ป้องกัน ไฟที่อาจแลบขึ้นมาได้เนื่องจากความชื้นน้อยเกินไป ทำให้การผลิตดำเนินได้อย่างราบเรียบ ไม่แบกภาระของเครื่องอบมากเกินไป และลดต้นทุนเชื้อเพลิง
ฝั่งขาออกDryer --- เพื่อควบคุมอุณหภูมิเครื่องอบให้คงที่ โดยใช้คน หรือแบบอัตโนมัติก็ตามแต่ เพื่อให้การควบคุมระบบป้อนแผ่นไม้เป็นไปอย่างแม่นยำ ทั้งยังเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการผลิตในการควบคุมความชื้นให้อยู่ในเกณฑ์เป้าหมาย + / -0.2 % ก่อนที่จะมีการจัดเก็บ หรือการเติมเรซิ่นหากความชื้นไม่ได้ตามกำหนด สามารถลดปริมาณเชื้อเพลิงและเรซิ่นที่ใช้อย่างเห็นได้ชัด
